Being the founder of all that has been done here in Kenya, doesn’t end with me no longer being part of Rafiki Mwema. Play Kenya existed for 7 years before that and will exist for many years into the future. My heart was ripped into a million pieces but has come back together with plans and dreams that will literally be world changing. There was a time I thought I was beaten and destroyed, but apparently not.

I wish nothing but love and kindness to all those at Rafiki Mwema and pray they achieve all they need in life, but being removed from there has opened so many doors to a better future for so many more children, families and professionals.

Play Kenya has registered here in Kenya as The Kindness Project, and we intend to change Nakuru County and beyond with kindness. We have highly skilled and honest boards who work with integrity and vision, and we have the total support of The Children’s Department, including the PCO, who approached Play Kenya to work alongside them.

We are partnering with them to instigate change for all children in Nakuru County by affiliating with the government run organisation The Child Protection Centre. We will be working to deliver training around supporting children and young people with complex trauma, through training with organisations; The Children’s Department; The Police; The Courts; The chiefs in the communities, Schools and so much more. This contract will be long term and we have such excitement to be part of this change.

But it’s so much more than supporting the Families and Children. Play Kenya, The Kindness Project, have some wonderful initiatives to help get families from living on the streets into a place where they have transferable life skills, to allow them to gain employment, and be worthwhile members of their communities. My personal dream is to drastically reduce the abuse and fear that women, girls, boys, and men experience every waking and sleeping moment of their lives; To have no more babies born on the streets where they are open to abuse, addiction, and death.

To do this we need to have a robust plan to help those who need drugs and alcohol to survive. This is a programme in the making, as we know that residential rehab doesn’t work, unless the heart of the need for substances is addressed.

We also need to support the supporters. We will work directly with front line staff to manage and understand their own PTSD and traumas.

My dream, my vision has joined amazing people, whose ego’s do not define the project. They have heard my vision and we have made it our own. You won’t see any one person fronting this dream. It is a partnership of likeminded people who are simply in it to make the lives, the horrific lives of so many, change in a monumental way.

We will be releasing our campaign which will need funding soon, but in the meantime please share this with the love and kindness it is written.

If you can’t find a kind thought, please feel free to continue to scroll. We Choose Kindness to tackle one of the hardest areas on the planet, The protection of Children. They need our love, kindness, and support, and we are here to offer exactly that.
