What a trip again!
I think to have spent time with The Rafiki Family at Christmas and New Year was just wonderful! Every single little gift and card you sent was so special and the girls have asked me to Thank You for everything!
It seems strange that yesterday afternoon I was in Nakuru buying chips and chatting with the street boys – and now I’m back in the UK hearing about how wet it has been (Really – lovely weather here!). I am really excited that our football project is up and about to run again – lovely Jimmy is managing it. I met with TWO of the street boys on Saturday and told them about our plans – and on Sunday TEN boys came to tell me that they were coming – in my calculations we will have 210 boys by the time the first training happens!!!
The plan is to have training for the boys 2/3 times a week and then supply them with a cooked meal – and arrange a football league for the street boys – very exciting! When we ran it last year the impact on the boys and their relationships was just incredible!!!
If anyone would like to help us financially to support this area of our project please let me know – a little really does go a long way!
Happy Happy New Year to all of you and thank you so much for all your support. Please spread the word about the work of Play Kenya and I look forward to the next chapter in 2013
